Build a rich message
Compose the server-info and rules posts you would otherwise write by hand, and edit them in place afterwards.
How to do it
- Go to 📝 Embeds → New embed and give it a name, which is only used to find it again.
- Fill in title, description, colour, up to ten fields, author line, thumbnail, image, footer — and the plain text above the embed, which is the only part where a mention pings.
- Save it as a draft and check the preview.
- Press Send and pick a channel.
- To change it later: edit and save. The posted message is updated in place, so a pinned post stays pinned.
Worth knowing
- Discord’s limits are checked when you save, not when you send — an over-long title is refused on the form rather than becoming an embed that can never be posted.
- Sending again posts a new message and stops tracking the old one. That is how you move an embed to another channel.
- If the message was deleted in Discord, the embed quietly becomes a draft again rather than failing forever.
- Image and icon fields must be full
