Ping roles on an event
Notify one or more roles when the event goes up and again on the reminder.
How to do it
- Pass
mention:@Infantry @Armour— type the@and let Discord turn it into a role token. - Role names in a comma-separated list work too, if the tokens are awkward to type.
- On the web, the roles are checkboxes on the event form.
- Clear them again with
/event-edit event:<name> mention:none.
Worth knowing
- Up to ten roles. Anything that cannot be resolved is reported rather than dropped quietly.
- A role that is not mentionable needs the bot to have Mention All Roles, or the ping notifies nobody. You are warned when that is the case.
