Promote Cadets to Members after enough missions
Pick two roles and a number of missions; the bot tells the admins who is due, or promotes them itself.
How to do it
- Map each player to their Discord member on 📊 Kill Tracker → Players: only mapped players can be promoted.
- Open 🛠️ Server → Promotion, pick the role to promote from and the role to promote to, and set how many missions are needed.
- Pick the admin channel to be told in, tick Promotions are on, and press Save.
- To see what the admins will get, press Post a test message: it posts in the admin channel about you, with the buttons greyed out, using the text as it is in the form (nothing is saved and nobody is promoted).
- Whoever is due is posted in the admin channel, one message each with Approve and Reject buttons (server admins only). The Due now list on the page does the same.
Worth knowing
- Every recording counts as a mission. Linked names are one player.
- You can change the text of the message.
{member},{player},{missions},{needed}and{role}are filled in; empty means the default. It applies to the message with the buttons, not to the note the bot posts when it promotes automatically. - Promotions are off until you turn them on. Promote automatically makes the bot swap the roles itself after each count; turning it on promotes everyone who already qualifies at the next count.
- The bot needs Manage Roles and its role must sit above the role it hands out.
- Pass over the ticked removes a person from the list for good; they are not announced again.
