Use layers
Keep phase 1, phase 2 and the enemy picture apart, and show them one at a time.
How to do it
- Add a layer in the layer panel and name it.
- Whatever you place next lands on the layer that is selected.
- Use each layer’s switch to show and hide it while briefing.
Worth knowing
- Hiding a layer is not deleting it. The items stay in the document and in every save.
- The switches work for whoever is looking, including somebody who only has a share link — toggling changes their view and nothing else.
- Deleting a layer moves its items to the first layer rather than taking them with it.
- The ↑ ↓ beside a layer change the drawing order — lower in the list is drawn on top. 🔒 locks a layer: it is still drawn, but nothing on it can be picked up or moved while you draw over it.
- A hidden layer is left out of the Arma export: markers you have switched off are not part of the plan being handed over.
