Catch a post up, or skip a backlog
Post something the watch missed, or clear a queue you do not want announced.
How to do it
- Open the watch and go to Recent posts. It reads the feed and says which posts have already been announced.
- Press Announce on one to post it by hand.
- To skip instead: tick the posts you do not want and press Mark ticked as announced, or Mark all for the whole list.
Worth knowing
- Marking posts nothing. It just takes them out of the queue so the next check does not work through them three at a time.
- This is the way past a flood — an account that un-hid its posts, or a subreddit that suddenly woke up.
- Marking needs no working connection to Reddit, which matters: a backlog most needs clearing exactly when Reddit is refusing us.
