Build an ORBAT

Write the roster as indented text and let the bot turn it into squads and slots.

How to do it

  1. Go to ORBATs, give the new one a name, and press Create.
  2. Write the roster in the big text field: squad names at the left margin, slots indented under them.
  3. Put a squad’s options after a |, separated by commas: left or right for the column, unit:TFP, radio:343 CHN:3, and nocount for a bench that should not count against the numbers.
  4. Fill in the Nets field underneath for the shared channels, one per line as Platoon Net | 152 CHN : 1.
  5. Press Preview to see the board, then Save.

Worth knowing

  • A line starting with # is a comment. A leading 1. or 2) on a slot is stripped, so lines pasted out of a sheet land clean.
  • Leave the column out entirely and the squads are split down the middle for you. One explicit left or right turns that guessing off for the whole ORBAT.
  • Discord will not render an unlimited board. The editor warns you before you save when the ORBAT outgrows 25 fields or the character limits — eight squads plus a net list is the practical ceiling.
