Export an ORBAT to a Google Sheet

Write the roster into a spreadsheet, for people who want it there as well.

How to do it

  1. Open the ORBAT and find the Export to a sheet panel.
  2. Paste the URL of the spreadsheet to write into.
  3. Press Export. A new tab is added holding the roster.

Worth knowing

  • It never touches an existing tab. A title collision gets a (2) suffix rather than overwriting anything, so an export can never damage the sheet another operation is running on.
  • It is one-way. Nothing is recorded about the export, and the bot reads only the first tab — so an exported tab is not picked up on its own.
  • Needs GOOGLE_CREDENTIALS configured, and the service account invited to the spreadsheet as an editor.
