Log joins, leaves, kicks and bans
Announce who came and went in a channel your staff watches.
How to do it
- Go to 📋 Member log, pick the channel, tick the events you want, and save.
- Joins show the account’s age, the member count and which invite link was used.
- Leaves show how long they were around and which roles they had.
- Kicks are told apart from voluntary leaves, and name the moderator and reason. Bans and unbans do the same.
Worth knowing
- Joins and leaves need Discord’s privileged Server Members Intent. Tick it in the Developer Portal first, then set
MEMBER_EVENTS=1and redeploy — asking for the intent before it is granted stops the bot from starting at all. - Bans and unbans need no intent and work without that.
- Without View Audit Log every kick reads as a plain leave and bans have no moderator. Without Manage Server the invite list cannot be read. The page tells you which are missing.
