Approve or deny a request
Decide who gets the slot, in the channel or in the browser — both do exactly the same thing.
How to do it
- In Discord: open #slot-approvals and press ✅ Approve or ❌ Deny on the request. Denying opens a box for an optional reason.
- In the browser: 🎖️ Operations → Slot Approvals, where the same two buttons sit next to each request with a reason field.
- The member is DMed either way, the message leaves the queue, and a record goes to #approval-archive.
Worth knowing
- Approving a contested slot denies the other requests for it automatically and tells those members why.
- A Unit Leader may only decide requests from their own unit. The web page still lists the rest — it says CNTO only instead of the buttons, so the queue never lies about how many people are waiting.
- Old requests stay clickable after a new operation starts, and are always decided against the operation they were made for.
